Silly. Shallow. For me, unwatchable. Worst offense is Hardison's "sister," Breanna. Person playing her is overacting and unconvincing. Sister is portrayed as annoying, irrational, buffoonish, incongruent. I'm not convinced this character's of even average intelligence, much less a junior genius. And what's with the silly faces? I don't blame the actress. I blame the writers, director, and most of all, the casting decision-maker.
Sophie, at times, seems unduly harsh to such degree that when she does soften, it feels insincere. Her character is also poorly written.
Noah Wyle apparently stumbled onto the wrong set, was forced to stay there, and is trying to make the best of it. He keeps looking like he wishes he were somewhere else. Who could blame him? He deserves better.
I still enjoy Parker and Elliot, at least as much as I can under these unfortunate circumstances.
Original Leverage was engaging, fun escapism with characters I cared about. L. Redemption is all over the place yet goes nowhere. I gave it a chance but unless they get rid of New Girl and tighten up the writing, I must stay away.
