Ugh... I see this is filled with Snyder fanboys who wanted this to happen so much there is no way they would give this a poor rating.
I would say this is better than I expected though. The 4 hour runtime is gratuitous though. All of Snyder's indulgences are on full display. Slo mo shots for everything. the longest establishing shots I've ever seen for so many scenes. It would have been nothing to cut 1 hour of this and lose absolutely nothing. Like not even a word of dialogue would have to be cut to get this down another hour.
Cut another hour of scenes that really go nowhere with no point to them besides just existing. And some "injustice" type scenes thrown in there which is nice in and of themselves but make no sense in the flow of the movie.
Take ALL that out and you then have an actually decent movie. Much more cohesive than the Whedon version with a consistent tone. Characters besides superman have an actual role to play. Definitely is more of an actual movie than the hodge podge that was the whedon version.
Takes more than that to be a good movie IMO of course. With all those cuts it's just a movie. There's no great message, no great character arcs, no themes being explored. Not entirely needed for a superhero movie but Marvel (and Dark Knight to be fair) has got me spoiled on what a good superhero movie can do. So with all the cuts and edits, it is a decent movie. 6.5/10
But as is, it's still a barely watchable slog. 3.5/10 If this came out in a theatre, even as a 2 parter or something, it would have been panned. But in the format it came out as now during a pandemic with so much anticipation and preconceived ideas that this will be great, it will have it's fans. Those who liked BVS the directors cut I'm sure will like this fine. I am not one of those people of course.
