This book is great for a young audience that is interested in reading realistic fiction books that teach us about historical events. I, back when I was in year 6, started reading this book, since someone had recommended it to me. As soon as I finished the first book, Once, I fell in love with the series. The books made me think about how all the people in the story had felt during the time in the book and how it may have affected them. This book was very emotional for me, it felt like I personally knew the people in the book because of how realistic it was. Of course, there were some funny bits, but most of the story was about a boy who had to experience WWII in the worst possible way. I highly recommend this book to anyone!!!
