This is the most fascinating, twisted, yet realistic ‘horror’ movie I have watched in years, possibly ever. It is so much more than your typical horror or supernatural movie.
I can’t comment on how realistic the parts of being a refugee are, but the exploration of mental illness is phenomenal!
The way the flashbacks and hallucinations blend seemlessly with what is reality, really portray how terrifying mental illness can be. I think it gives a real insight into PTSD and psychosis. I honestly cannot describe how fantastically the film portrays this. The way the other characters seem so ‘normal’, yet weirdly distant, really shows how the main characters minds are racing. It’s hard to describe but honestly watch this. Especially if you have any experience with ptsd or other mental illness, or none at all, it’s just amazing!!!!!!!
