Even if translated from Spanish, the language in this book is mesmerizing. The descriptions of locale, characters, and events captured me completely to enjoy this rich and imaginative story. Even though I sometimes stumbled on identifying the narrator, the story line kept me on track. One of the delightful additions to the rich tradition of Latin American literature.
