Instead of meeting Wonka‘s family or seeing how his magical chocolate recipes were created, or watching all of his trials and successes in the chocolate making realm, the entire movie is about Wonka trying to escape from a laundry washing facility. Mostly cringe and questionable moments throughout the film, mainly wondering, is anything going to happen? And the only thing that really happens is that Wonka finally escapes from the laundry washing facility near the end. This could have been an extraordinary story, and it isn’tk.
