My granddaughter likes the hedgehog because she's cute and stubborn. She does wish she was a real princess. She finds the lynx cute and the wolves cunning. I appreciate the wholesome aspect, the underdog being determined to help the community despite not feeling a part of it. The young bear for being open to new meaningful adventure by seeing beyond his father's self centered nature. The squirrel who sets out to save the hedgehog and winds up helping to save his community too. As with happy endings, there's water for all (reminds me of global concerns for clean water) and a new place in the family and community for the spunky hedgehog.
