Aria Venus

My genuine rating is 3.5* If u haven't read the webtoon by the same name then this is probably a great show (u should absolutely read the manga it's 5*s ). While I loved the comedic aspect, I just felt that the story went off track half way/relatively early & made the bad choice to focus only on biased romance: the suho love story. Any hidden messages in the show are NOT impressive because they were all taken from the book anyway. There was not enough focus on the fashion & makeup or drama so none of the original talent growth & character arcs from the manga [*Spoiler*; ] they also exposed ju kyungs bare face 2 years too early - in high school instead of during her adult growth stages, they completely cut out seojun & ju kyung being an item & then they made suho come back with a horrid entitled attitude because they where rushing to finish PLUS selena the makeup artist was supposed to be a wow factor suprise reveal as suhos sister but they cut that out too. Imho the show started amazing, full of potential & a great cast, then it was like they ran out of money and decided to compress & snip a 2/3 seasons show into half a season & focus only on the romantic aspect but also cut out the riveting parts of the romantic aspect. I can competely understand why the webtoon was a hit in S.Korea but the show was a flop. Personally I hope there's no season 2 because other than the missing makeup & talent growth, they already played out all the original love plots & completely erased great character arcs. At this point it can only be redone & I'm tempted 2 change my review to 2 stars but I won't.
