Here is my review. There are SPOILERS IN HERE. JUST A FAIR WARNING.
I saw this movie two days after it went into theaters. I will say that the sequel trilogy has been a mixed bag for me. I like the Force Awakens, I absolutely despise The Last Jedi. Dividing a fanbase is unacceptable. This film was really good. It's not better than Empire Strikes Back. But while I agree that the saga should've ended with Return of the Jedi, this film was definitely worth watching, and as someone who hates The Last Jedi, this movie was a satisfying conclusion that I enjoyed going to see. I get that there are people who don't like this and are yelling to not watch it at all. I personally suggest you watch and decide for yourself what you thought. But here are some of the things I will mention
As someone who is a huge Star Wars fan, the story was good and easy to understand. The twist about Rey being a Palpatine definitely shocked me, as I had always thought she was a Solo. Ben Solo's redemption actually was an emotional scene for me, especially Leia's death. The scene where Han(while technically a memory, he is sort of a force ghost) talks to Ben shocked me and was emotional in a way. Luke is portrayed much better, admitting he was wrong to stay on his island was definitely much better. It took me by surprise when his force ghost appeared. But what was really good was the final battle. While Palpatine did come out of nowhere, he was still portrayed in the same way of being an absolute legend. Ian McDiarmid nailed it as he always does. He looked absolutely terrifying when on life support, especially with the blind eyes. When he finally regains his power, he's absolutely badass. Lando's return was definitely great to see. But the Knights of Ren finally got there welcome appearence. I could go on but I think you get the point. I ended up really enjoying this film. But I'll leave it up to you to form your opinion.
