I felt movie idea and concept was great, but.. the story writing lacked efforts.
Acting of the main characters felt powerful.
I can appreciate the biblical references of the characters and how the mother nature is represented. Some of these symbolic references are made intricately, but they are not able to continue that intricacy throughout the plot. Especially, the malpractices of humans over earth (breaking of the stuffs, gunfire, religious practices, etc) shown in the movie, is just so crudely represented. It could have been symbolically portrayed with some subtleness. The connectivity and belief with the story was lost on that, because of how the tone of the movie was set up.
Towards the end, what it felt like was just for the sake of ticking the check-boxes of various human malpractices (the director can think of), things were shown. The writing felt very unseasoned. These things would not have bothered much had it not being a symbolic story.
Overall, liked the movie concept and characters, loved how it started off. But parts of the writing seriously lacked craft to match the symbolic tone of the movie.
