okay so I don't usually leave reviews but this movie is so bad.. it makes me sad because the first SpongeBob movie and sponge on the run were GREAT. I'm not a kid but still watch them a lot lmao. Bu this move is just a combination of bad music, terrible animation style(WHY THIS ANIMATION STYLE) and lack of good humour like the early show and other movies. I think this could have been really good. I think a movie based on plankton was a good call but the stuff about Karen taking over? and the way SpongeBob was just randomly pushed into it without any real role (and he wasn't even a funny addition to the movie so what's the point).. the only reason I gave it a two is because it was SO unfunny and SO badly made, it was slightly funny. Like I'll admit I laughed at the end when SpongeBob started singing. Like.... wow. this is bad. go back to the original animation, stop with the terrible songwriting, and spend some times coming up with jokes that are ACTUALLY funny.
