Whilst on my family holiday in Crete laying on a sun kissed beach surrounded by parasols and beautiful waves I read this book. My body was in paradise my mind was in hell.
Henry’s story is one of many Jewish people who suffered atrocities of unimaginable degree that I compel anyone to learn about by reading his account, I believe it is our duty.
His experience alongside millions of others is that of pure evil against a fellow human being - at its worst. I kept thinking whilst reading, this is fiction this can’t be true and then I watched his YouTube video, it’s true and I listened to his message at the end that this is still happening in different forms but will keep happening and we must be aware and urge change. Why? Because no human being has the right to treat another in this way, no insane indoctrination, just NO.
My immeasurable respect and pure yearning from my soul goes out to Henry and anyone who encounters abuse in life and I am changed by his story in a way that helps me to cherish all the good I have and be resilient in life.
Please read this true account of Henry Oster’s story through unimaginable suffering at the hands of the Nazis and his journey to survival. They lost, he won amongst many others and that is what I take from this.
Good Will Out Evil.
