In my opinion, as an avid fan since I watch ATLA as a kid and all this stuff feels surreal. I can say that the live action itself contains minimal parts that are from the cartoon series. While watching, you'll eventually find yourself in confusion. Considering it only has 8 episodes, as they have to squish every episode in Book 1, Surprising it still has a depth touch to it. It is quite understandable that they have to cut some of its parts. But I hope they won't be so detached from how Aang and Katara work as their relationship gets deeper throughout the show. I was a little disappointed they didn't add the part where Katata caught Aang falling from the iceberg and that famous line, "Do you want penguin sledding with me?" After all, that's the heart of the show. And Gaang is a bit laid off and a little depressed to me ,but somehow, that's an honest reaction from a child who is facing genocide, wiping all the people they cared about, and bringing about a hundred-year war. I wish they stick to their flare and goofy attitude despite having to face the fatherlord in the end lol. Having to sit on it in one go, I can say this is worth watching to refresh your childhood. Anyway, I'm so happy that I get to see ATLA come to life. Kudos to the Netflix team for finding the greatest cast ever. You can't always find a replica as good as this, so let's all be greatful and enjoy every bit of it as it rocks S2 and S3. YIP! YIP! YIP!
