Really disappointed. Plot and script were very weak and pretty boring. The casting was poor; the lead had little emotional depth and wasn’t credible. I couldn’t imagine anyone following him into a pub let alone a gladiator arena. Denzel carried the film. The general was the star character. A poor imitation of the first triumphant film. Even had to rely on the wonderful music of the first, with nothing original this time. Such a shame.
