I went in knowing it would be loosely based on TR2013, did not expect it to be so incredibly loosely based. Don't waste your time with the movie. Having played the supposed source material, this movie is shockingly lackluster and frankly boring to watch. It was horribly predictable; never had me on the edge of my seat, and I didn't feel any real attachment to Lara, where both points were true along the course of the game. It only made me chuckle once, during the last 3 minutes before the credits. Nothing against the actress, she was just playing what was written for her, and she did it well, but the Lara this movie gives us is far from the one the "source" material does. A much smaller complaint in comparison follows the shipwreck, where I'm sorry, but after what she went through, there's no way that journal would have been intact. But it had to be, because otherwise literally nothing would have happened at all. In fact, I think I might have preferred to watch that.
