Fascinating book, the best I've ever read. Dr. Verghese's command of various accents is impeccable in portraying a world of characters. His ability to magnificently meld so many different subjects (medicine, cultures, history, relationships...) is flawless. The way he combines intrigue, tragedy, humor, romance...amazing. I can't wait to read more from him.
