I didn't have a chance to watch the movie until last night (15 October 2023), i.e., 24 years after it debuted in 1999. I can't stop replaying the song and various scenes in my mind ever since. It's a heart-gripping, romantic, yet subtle and classy movie. "Anna and the King" has instantly become one of my best-loved movies. Chow Yun Fat was dashing and charismatic, both Chow Yun Fat and Jodie Foster acted very well in the movie, displaying a high level of retrain in their love towards each other. Absolutely love this movie! I would subscribe to Disney Plus so that I can re-watch this movie over and over again!
