Haha, all the NT cattlemen and station hands in the reviews getting their akubras in a twist.
It’s entertainment, not a doco. It’s a bit of fun. Like Crocodile Dundee was. Name one fictional TV series that wasn’t over-egged.
I found it beautifully shot, though outback Oz will always photograph and film well.
They only had six episodes so the loose plot, careers along at a break neck pace. The cops are no where to be seen, which is probably fair enough as the action is taking place in the middle of no-where. A bit of the acting is suss, but I thought the bloke who played Rich (Sam Delich) was fantastic. I know a few fellas like him. Same for Nolan (Clarence Ryan).
The NT is full of characters and the producers have packed this series with them (for a real life view of the NT craziness watch Last Stop Larrimah).
This is well worth a watch and will keep you on your toes. All my fellow Aussies leaving one star: lighten up.
