This movie is simply captivating and amazing on so many levels. Heston is perfect in his role of Taylor. People remember him from all of his larger than life roles, such as Ben-Hur and Moses. But, as Heston goes from scene to scene the audience is left feeling a certain "stress" as he simply cannot win in a society ruled by Apes. Thoughtful juxtapositions between society of today as well amazing Academy Award winning makeup sets this movie apart. If you have never seen it, you simply must watch as it will leave its print upon you from now on.

This was my introduction to Errol Flynn. When I first saw this movie, I was simply in awe of him! This is simply a terrific movie that is certain to entertain. This is Errol Flynn at his peak in fitness and in beauty and charm. The story is fast paced and the casting is perfect. Olivia DeHaviland is also a young 19 year old here starring in her first major movie along with Errol. Two newcomers to the screen and their chemistry is simply electric. Watch this, you won't be sorry!

This is a terrific movie and in my opinion could have only been better if Olivia De Havilland played the part of the love interest instead of Brenda Marshall. Despite this, the movie is VERY entertaining and thrilling! Errol Flynn is at his best here. Watch it and you won't be sorry.
