It’s a wonderful read. Cheta and gecko’s journey made me think however, big or small the ride we must enjoy the journey. Just like the snail, if we pursue our dreams and be persistent we can achieve any dream.

The book is for all age groups, especially if you love dogs. In this book, the writer Abodh Aras, an activist, has written the story My city, my dogs for kids. The writer has a story for each street dog of Mumbai like Champi, Traffic, Kali, Kalu and many more. These dogs are harmless, friendly and found at every location in the city like train, traffic light, garden etc. They are taken care of by the passerby, children, and vendors all the not so wealthy but empathetic people. The dogs have made the city and the people their own. Like Periappa who visits three different restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner always eating or dreaming about food - idly and dosa. In the book, the illustrator Sumedha Sah has created pictures using a combination of illustrations and photographs taken by Hashim Badani. It is a good read for all children as they are naturally empathetic towards dogs.
