I am happy to read I am not the only one who did not like this book, and believe me I tried since it was our bookclub pic. I found the characters boring , I didn’t like any of them. I do love a sweeping family drama if it has endearing characters that you can really can Relate to and care about, and be able to identify with some of their feelings and situations, this book had none of those For me. I’m surprised Oprah was so over the moon about it… not that I’m always excited about her pics. I know it was on the NYT’s best seller list but Being on that list, is not always something to cheer about & read .. case in point “Hello Beautiful”

Having grown up in the 70s and having seen Fleetwood Mac the first time they ever toured I was interested to see this series even though I never read the book. It was And amazing time for music and an amazing time to be alive! I feel this series and these Characters are so cheesy and they don’t seem to be real at all and the music is awful. I definitely think it’s an insult to Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham and to the musicians who went on to become Fleetwood Mac. I only watched the first two episodes, barely watched them, No way I could watch anymore. I know a lot of people have loved this book and series but for some reason I think the fans are very young and maybe they want to romanticize this time of the 70s as they can’t really know what is was like. I’m thinking that a lot of the fans parents weren’t even born in the 70s.
