ON SWIFT HORSES shows both sides of gay sex, from the bored, bi-curious housewife, Muriel, played by Daisy Edgar-Jones, to the random sexual assaults that some men suffer, Julius (Jacob Elordi, who played Elvis in the movie, Priscilla), and lets define who they become. The main premise is that everyone deserves a second chance, as well as the chance to do what makes them happy in choosing relationships. Gambling, deceit, and honesty are also dealt with and yes, there are many, many sex scenes in this movie.
However, it is questionable what this movie has to do with horses other than two racetrack scenes. But the film ends with the main character, Julius, riding off into the night on a horse. Is this a metaphor?
