Shockingly based on real history. Apparently more accurate than you can possibly believe. Could have used better pacing and a bit more efficiency, but the story itself is incredibly compelling.

The Panderverse is alive and well. Couldn’t make it through the first episode. Horrible pacing, rush to connect dots that are cliche more than impactful. Kingpin seemed like a caricature more than a fleshed out character, and Daredevil was clearly fan bait. I just felt like someone went through a checklist, daring me not to find a way to root for the “protagonist.” Girl, Native American, mute, handicapped, life tragedy, etc. I’m watching her try to girl boss Daredevil, be ok with working for Kingpin and learning to shoot people, and I didn’t find a single thing compelling me to continue watching.

Fun movie, Keaton is great, independent of any nostalgia. Not as good as Spiderman: Across the Spiderverse, IMO, but better than Guardians 3, and Transformers with the beasts and whatever, respectively in that order. Definitely one of the better DCEU movies, but those huge CGI endings have seriously got to go. Curious to see what James Gunn does from here on out!

LOVED IT, except the ending. INTO the Spiderverse was a nice introduction to Miles Morales as an alternate Spiderman. ACROSS the Spiderverse really made me a fan of Miles, he set himself apart from all the other Spider people.

Horrible. Loved James Gunn’s recent stuff like Peacemaker and The Suicide Squad, but this was absolute garbage. Now I’m worried about the future of DC…

The Harry Potter series grew up in maturity with its audience. Star Wars seemed to always want to sell toys. Andor is Star Wars that has grown up for the original fans. It’s wonderfully written and executed, not a word of dialogue is wasted. The look and feel aren’t CGI overkill, it looks incredible. Things are smart and make sense. The show doesn’t insult my intelligence.

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, but can't help but wonder if it could have been a little better. The first part of the movie sees the protagonist using Beatles songs to promote his career, but it's not well-received. I kind of liked that set up. It's like, the covers or remakes never have the heart and soul, the passion, that the original artist has because it's not their words, not their experiences, not their joy or their pain. Where the movie could have been better, in my opinion, is if the character explored his love interest and in doing so, the songs evoked real passion, etc. etc. Just a thought. It was set up so well to go down that path. Great date movie though. It's light, not too heavy on the romance, and you walk out of the theater in a good mood, humming catchy songs. It's like having the Beatles as your wingman, just ride the good vibes.
