I played this game on the Nintendo Switch. Here is my thoughts.
The game was fine. Used to be. There used to be a Vendor system you could grind to get free weapons, armor, attachments. Then they ended up removing that. I missed it, but it was okay, since the core gameplay largely remained the same: play daily PvE missions, get rewards, occasionally hop on multiplayer, occasionally play Special Operations for the chance at rewards.
Then they decided to make unnecessary changes literally no one asked for. They decided to COMPLETELY overhaul the PvE system, which is completely unwelcome and makes ZERO sense. They removed Operation Blackwood, which was my favorite special operation. Also removed most of the Hard locked Special Operations (Hydra, Heist, The HQ), which pissed me off as those were my go-to missions to play.
Then, they overhauled the shop too! The original selection of weapons, gone. Now it's replaced with random guns that rotate every few weeks or so. Then they removed all the purchasable armor, like WHAT? Who asked for this?! Then they added these obviously P2W events that have you grinding out for currency just to be unable to afford good stuff.
But fear not, there are actually good changes amongst all the bad. They removed the durability system, I used to DREAD having to repair my armor and weapons every single time, and now that you don't have to, I'm relieved.
The PvP experience is okay. If you're a F2P player, prepare to be demolished as people with P2P guns that can 3 shot kill you will easily wipe you out, while your weapons can only kill them in like 5-6 hits, absolutely unacceptable.
I rated three stars because of the P2W experience and the fact that it crashes all the time on my Switch, but I think that's because I have a bad SD card (I installed the game onto the SD card and ever since I did that, it crashes every 20-30 minutes or so).
If you're looking for a free-to-play FPS experience, I wouldn't recommend this game, unless you're going to be solely playing the PvE mode.
