r not as I feel it’s just a movie but this time I couldn’t resist myself as the facts have been distorted and it looks like mockery of our religion and mythology. Seriously nothing has offended me so much the way this movie has. 1 star for this pathetic movie and if there was an option of negative rating would have given that. The movie is disgusting with twisting the facts as if the writer and the director never heard about Ramayana forget reading it. The essence and serenity of our epic has been brutally killed in this movie. The movie should be banned. I am surprised how the censor board passed it. If today’s children watch this movie what lesson they would get about our Ramayana? What are they going to learn about our religion? Hriniyakashyap got the boon that nothing would kill him, neither on earth nor in sky, neither in day nor night and they showed this for Ravana? Even my children were asking me , mumma wasn’t this in Prahalad story? Ravana actually had a bag of nectar ( Amrit ki thaili) in his belly button and only after someone bursted it he could be killed. Though they showed this ( however very vaguely), but none would understand except those who know about it. Hanuman ji brought the whole Dronagiri Parvat mountain with Sanjeevni booti because he couldn’t recognise it. What they have shown is ki chalo le chalta hun, aaj Lakshman ko lagi hai kal kisi aur ko zarurat padegi. What nonsense! We worship Lord Rama and Sita and they were shown so glamorous like movie stars with Sita’s pallu flowing in the air and romantic scenes. Sita ji was abducted and none saw this except Jatayu. But here they show that it’s being right in front of Lord Rama and Lakshmana ji and they just couldn’t do anything. Whereas in the first scene they showed Ram ji doing heroic stunts by killing bats. What rubbish! Ram ji went to Shabri’s place , but in movie they have shown the reverse. Also, the whole scene looked like as if some annual day function of a school is being shown. Lanka was known as Sone ki Lanka and what they showed was of Koyle ki Lanka. It became dark after Hanuman ji burnt it. But movie mein to wo pehle se hi kali dikhai hai. None of us have ever heard about Vibishan’s wife but she was not only there but also shown adjusting her sari, for no rhyme or reason. Hanuman ji landed straight in Ashok Vatika right in front of Sita ji as if he was given GPS. Whereas, he first met Vibishan ji and then was guided towards Ashok Vatika. These are just some of the instances and there are many more in the movie. For eg Ram ji fighting with bats in the very first scene, that too for such a long time. Sochti hi reh gayi ki aisa Ramayan mein kahan likha hai? Dialogues are so cheap that I still can’t believe these are written by one of my favourite writer Manoj Muntashir. This man is of such high esteem and has such good command over Hindi, English and Awadhi language. I love his videos on you tube but don’t know what happened to him. I am sure he is capable of doing a much better job. Anybody who has known even little about Ramayan is not going to accept this filmi drama no matter how much VFX effects are there. Plssss DO NOT WATCH IT! At least in theatre. But just to see the stupidity and then write review you may watch it on TV but pls do not show it your kids as it’s complete misrepresentation of facts. And neither to your elders as they will get really annoyed.
