I found this film fascinating. It juxtaposed the 1950's ideal of women looking gorgeous when their men got home from work, greeting them with a drink and sex; with the reality of contemporary life where everyone is stressed, exhausted and struggling; which caused them to seek this alternative solution. How do they achieve it? Think computer games; virtual reality; drugs; and you're on the way to an answer. The paradox? Wives don't want the 'perfect' lives that their husbands have chosen for them. That's where it all falls apart. Altogether fascinating commentary on traditional heterosexual relationships.
