My 2 cents on the 'The Forgotten Battle's is this......Humane moments in the midst of war is no novel idea... Unless presented with a virgin perspective. Many lives and stories converging is nothing new either... And it's cringey especially when it's not natural and is done just for the heck of it.
This movie, though well made and executed, lacks originality, fresh imagination and worst of all, has ends pulled by extreme force to meet some established standards of a good war movie. It has all the cliches of a war movie in place, a reluctant soldier, humanity taking the better of a soldier facing or holding a rifle, lost lives, grit flying and more. It's like a masala burger for pure entertainment.... Originality and art quotient score = almost zero here (would have been fine by me if it weren't so pretentious aboutbit).
