I was intrigued by this movie when I saw the cast. I love Pedro Pascal and Emma Stone. I'm not fond of Joaquin Phoenix but I thought it would still be alright. Well, I was totally wrong. The plot fell apart halfway through and I found myself checking my watch every five minutes. I almost left early, but stuck it out. I don't know why. The violence at the end was so pointless. Not that I want my money back (I do) but I want my 2 1/2 hours back.

This book was slightly disjointed and a little hard to follow. The main character, MJ, is very indecisive. She can't put her life priorities in order and her marriage suffers from it. She and several of her friends decide to form a book club where they read and talk about "dirty books". It wasn't a page turner for me.
