Jenkins reminds her readers of traditional values and the art of quilting and other handwork that will be lost if older relatives don’t teach the younger members of the family. Jenkins gives her readers insight into other women and they way they live their lives. The women in this book are very different from the way today’s modern women raise their families. This book is a “must read” and should be included in a student’s required reading list.
