It might be because I'm playing it on PlayStation Now but this game feels a little clunky. For what it is, it's like an attempt at reimagining God of War. My eyesight isn't getting better with age. I felt that some of the level design could have used just a little more "pop" to give the player a hint of where to go or what to do, especially for half blind folk like me. The constant addition of new mechanics keeps the game interesting but I'm not a fan of how the first half of the game feels like a tutorial on how to play the game, since something new keeps getting added to your load-out. Overall it's enjoyable, but I'm hoping some of the quirks are worked out in the second one.
Oh and the Titan boss fights are not very enjoyable. I'm here because I went to look up how to beat yet another Titan but thought to myself, maybe I'll have a look at the reviews first. I'd place GoW firmly above this in terms of polish and level design, if you're looking for this kind of hack and slash 3D platformer.
