If you can suspend disbelief while heretofore unplumbed depths of technical inaccuracies are climsily explored, then this movie is for you. They lost me when a large transport plane carry commandos was able to not only penetrate Russian airspace, but get its four parachutists within walking distance of a Russian navy base that was supposedly on alert and part of a coup plot. I’ll ignore the US Navy submariners who are repeatedly and grossly insubordinate to their skipper, since apparently this is reflected by fulminations of the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff in a silly meeting with the president. Well, at least it has Gary Oldman.
