I have just finished this book - what a roller-coaster of intrigue. The plot, the suspense and the twists and turns make it absolutely "unputdownable".
The plot itself is quite complex and yet the book is easy to read and understand.
My only disappointment was the ending. We are left to believe that Marco gets off (having arranged the kidnap of his own daughter) and are we to assume that Anne will escape justice in view of her mental illness (but perhaps she "used" that mental illness to commit the murder!!!).
I love "justice" and this ending suggests that there would be no justice. Sadly, for this reason, I am unable to give the book 5* which the rest of it deserves.
Despite the ending, this book goes into my "must read" category for that genre. I can't wait to read Shari's next one!
I cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you Shari.
