Genuinely one of the worst movies I've seen in a while. Demi Moore was good, the body horror was phenomenal, but the message was shallow while actively doing what they say is bad. Every second it felt like they were showing a woman sexualized while saying "oooo you're bad for looking at this and supporting it." The dialogue wasn't good (except for Demi Moore's lines most of the time), it was trying to be deep instead of being good. I felt nauseous from the camera angles. It felt like Margaret Qualley was there to look pretty instead of be an actual character. Then the more I think about it, the only character is Dennis Quaid who is there to be creepy and nothing else. I think the biggest insult is that it's trying to be Kubrik by referencing the most famous Kubrik movies while not understanding what Kubrik did. He made a good movie first, a story comprehensible second, then a message if there was room third. This movie tries to make a message, then a movie, then instead of a comprehensible story, it tries to be edgy by showing breasts and saying "woah they're being sexualized." Anyone who is saying I don't get the movie, I got the message, what I did not get was a good movie.
