I just saw this with my 13 year old daughter. I will not watch the third one. There's no question that the movie is visually stunning. However, it mainly highlights the very ugly and shallow side of human nature. I found the whale scene extremely distressing and drawn out for too long. I wasn't the only one as people actually left the cinema during the scene and didn't come back. The storyline was basic and predictable. Sam Worthington's role was extremely weak and uninspiring. It also didn't need to be over 3 hours long. Overall, it was as disappointing as it was stunning.
