Honestly? I hate this game. I am activly upset that bethisda made us wait so long for.... this. No space travel, exploration is incredibly boring (repeated copy past procgen structures everywhere), NPCs have no ai or routine, wont react to almost anything and essentially only function in relation to their scripted quests (if they have one). ill repeat that part because what the hell: No one sleeps or has a routine! The story is NOT great, its fine at its best, maybe even interesting at a few points, but considering how linear this game is in practice, the writing is horrible. This isnt even an RPG becasue every character you make is going to be mechanically the same and very few choices exist and even fewer have mechanicaly interesting outcomes. Its a big game yes, takes a LONG time to really explore it all and you really want something to be there because it is clear a lot of money went into it. but you will never be rewarded, nothing in this game is particularly well done, and many parts are actively disappointing and boring. I loved every other Bethesda game i have played, i realllllly wanted to love this but it is just flat garbage, im upset i wasted my time on it, im upset Bethesda wasted their time on it. I hope modders dont waist their time trying to fix this soulless mess. This game is BIG, it took me 80 hours to truely honestly (as a HUGE bethisda fan) say that i have explored enough to confidently pass judgment, and i can honestly say i didn't ever have a special moment, most of this was a chore, most of it was boring or disappointing. even the things i was excited for in the moment (building my ship, upgrading my weapons) turned out to be waisted effort wit disappointing results as the game play just falls flat in combat and in space.
