I found this book a bit boring and the main character was a real "Debbie Downer." seeing and hearing everything in very negative way including her work partners who weren't involved in the plot. It became nauseating.
The story was quite drawn out but the resolution came quickly. I didn't understand the significance on the drought although all the chapter titles referred to it.
The only characters I became invested in were Nico and Skylar.
