I was honestly hesitant to watch this film at first because of all the negative reviews. I even thought it might be a waste of time. But to my surprise, I ended up really loving it. Yes, it’s a slow-paced movie — but not all films need to be fast or glamorous to be enjoyable. This one takes its time to tell the story, and that’s what makes it special. The performances were outstanding from all the actors, especially the lead role by Daisy Edgar-Jones — she delivered such depth and emotion that truly carried the film. Maybe it’s because I started watching with low expectations, but that actually helped me appreciate the beauty of the film even more. It’s subtle, heartfelt, and stays with you long after it ends. If you skipped it because of the negative reviews, I’d really suggest giving it a chance. Sometimes the quiet films are the ones that touch you the most.
