Not so much a movie about the Joker going a little mad... more a surrealistic film about madness with the joker in it. Take away the name and what you've just witnessed is the gruesome transformation of an honest man confronted daily by the cruelty of others. I can't honestly say it feels like I walked out of a comic book movie. This is the universe that DC has been trying and failing to create for years. Every DC film from here on out should just do the world a huge favor and spawn itself from this universe alone... let the DCEU die in bitter lonely silence please. Hands down the best movie i will watch this year.
