After nearly 55 years of being an avid, unbiased, James Bond fan, this particular Bond Movie is the ONLY to leave me with TWO “polarized” emotions and reviews:
*
No Time To Die basically kills off James Bond and eliminates any more movies about James Bond.
Bonds gets killed on-the-job at the end and the franchise is over.
WHY? I have no idea why it was time to do this (except one reason only: see below).
To make it even more puzzling, Bond stops being Bond far too many times in this movie in order to substantiate the writing of his death as the conclusion. It is the writing of these instances ( and true Bond Fans will notice them) in to the movie that catch James Bond fans and cause a “ Connery, Lazenby, Moore, and Craig’s Bond don’t do it that way? React that way?
Seeing these antics, and James Bond’s own demise’, pushed me and other Bond Aficionados in to withdrawal: thus the one-star rating. Bond deserves a LIT better than this.
However…
*****
I must offer my admiration for the brilliant approach to protecting the Bond franchise from the ruination of those “woke liberals and racists” who decried and protested for a gay bond, a black bond, and a female bond.
You won’t have that political platform to abuse with joy now! In fact, it’s fair to say James Bond may not have been able to survive “No Time To Die, but Ms. Broccoli did save him from a far.. far… worse outcome!
