This version of Shaft was a perfect merging of the past 50 years of action movies. It had credible action scenes, a love story and many modern cultural references but most importantly, a strong father and son relationship immersed in misunderstandings and eventually love.

This documentary/movie is excellent. Clarence Avant was a major mover and shaker for the past 60 years in music, politics and civil rights. A wonderful film about a powerful, influential African American man who should be better known in American history.
