An epic in all accounting. Excellent portrayal of the ancient Yoruba warring periods which deviates from the norm that entails the use of charms and incantation only. These were complimented with martial arts. Visual effects were top notch but a bit exaggerated especially when Odunlade Adekola's hand was cut off and in seconds a fly came buzzing. However, only a few actors were moving to purpose. With the tone the movie started with, I expected some skill and ferocity from Gbotija. The movie did not reveal a timeline or progress bar of how the trainees get to veterans from rookies in the fighting school. Some fight scenes were rushed, other actors roles not clearly defined, no comic relief. I hope a sequel will help redeem these shortcomings. Kudos!
