I haven't disliked the main characters in a show like this in a while. Jade (the main protagonist) lacks any redeeming qualities. She's stubborn, impulsive, entitled and worst of all completely wooden in her performance. The woke nature of the show didn't bother me too much but it can definitely feel a little in your face as in "hey look how progressive we are!" With some dialogues feeling extremely unnatural. The few action sequences that the show offers, and I really mean it when I say few. Are very short and ultimately unsatisfying. It seems that whatever happens to the adult Jade she always somehows ends up miraculously unscathed. There's no real stake in every episode because wherether it's jumping of a tall building onto a car or getting chased by a huge hoarde and being blown up by granades, she seems 100% fine everytime running head first into the next pointless wall. But hey, at least we get a black female lead right! This shows feels like it was made to tick boxes and stretch your netflix subscription for 1 more month. Don't recommend, avoid
