Classic mid 90's stoner film that's all about the day of life in the hood. Definitely has become iconic in it's genre.
So there's lot's of people and sorta extras with like side roles that are also significant. The main 2 are of course Smokey, Chris Tucker, and Craig, Ice-Cube. However while IDK the actors names the one's playing Big Worm and Deebo are also equally essential to the main storyline.
Smokey smokes weed, like a human chimney, but he also deals it too. Enter here Big Worm, the dealer who Smokey is basically middle man for. For various reasons Smokey smokes more than he sells and now irregardless of what happened to the weed he now owes Big Worm $200, or else he's going to get killed by him. Smokey mentions Craig while talking to Big Worm and now Craig has reason to help Smokey, because his neck is on the line too. They gotta come up with $200 by 10:00 that Friday night.
Won't go into all side plots, but a couple include Bernie Mac as a preacher who's also got an eye on the ladies around the neighborhood. One minute he's preaching to Craig & Smokey about smoking weed, the next minute he's chasing a fine looking female. Another side plot is a kid, Little Chris, runs around knocking over trash cans, or at least he's known to have done so, and until the very end he always outruns them being on a bicycle. There's also a number of side plots about the females and their relationships with others in the neighborhood.
Fast forward to the end. Earlier in the movie Smokey & Deebo robbed a neighbor and Deebo walked away with about $200. Just before the end of the movie Craig sees Deebo pushing a female and starts a fight with him because he shouldn't be putting his hands on women. Classic street brawl ensues and amidst the ups & downs Craig ultimately knocks out Deebo. Smokey knows Deebo has the money on him still and searches and collects it to pay off Big Worm. Enter a few more ending jokes and lines as the movie concludes.
