The film seems unintentionally cheesy. To much bad dialogue. If they cut half of the bad lines the film would go up a star. It felt unbelievable. I don’t care how much “women power” you want to promote a skinny 5’3 girl has no chance against a 6ft well built man in a hand to hand combat situation. Nut shots don’t magically make most guys lose all strength lol and in the film that happens after she has taken him out a little with punches. I could feel the guy was trying to really sell something that wouldn’t be possible like pretending to lose to a 10 year old everyone can see you could easily pick them up and throw them across the room and break their neck. Like his arm reach alone is an advantage you could tell he was holding back. Black widow as a character is good because she uses all of her body weight aimed at an imbalance point to bring them down along with element of surprise and speed. She was wide open in these films and in real life would easily be taken out. The same guy who says “should have just shot her first.Don’t give her a chance” is the same guy to have a gun pointed at her head with her unaware and he doesn’t pull the trigger. AFTER he says “just shoot her no hesitations” female characters need to accept their weaknesses like height and strength and weight and utilize their strengths instead these films try to pretend the weaknesses don’t exist and we can really feel it. Black widow in Ironman 2 is good this is bad. If you are a girl in similar situation against men. Use gun that’s only real equalizer and if you don’t have a gun use element of surprise and be fast because the moment he’s aware of what’s happening and fights back you are done.

The movie just wasn’t good. Compared to all the other toy story films this is a flop. Feels like Disney/Pixar are trying to guilt people into saying their films are good out of fear of being called “racist” or “homophobic” or saying the film sucks also means you are hating on the community for some reason. The film wasn’t great & trying to hide behind a gay/race card won’t save it. People don’t want to see it & the same sex kiss definitely didn’t help. This is what happens when you try getting applause from the minority. It doesn’t meet expectations. Toy story has been good with 99-100% positive ratings until they put that in there & it drops to 70%. Most of that 70% saying “the scene was quick” implying would have been better if not there at all & it’s “passable” because fast.
