Overall, I thought it was good, particularly Colin Farrell and Amy Ryan. I had no problem with the big reveal in episode 6, feeling it was telegraphed well before it happened so didn't seem jarring or contrived. I've taken a star off for the last episode which I thought was weak and spent too much time tying up loose ends and setting the stage for a potential second season. Still, great show.

An hilarious and scathing denunciation of privilege and entitlement. The acting from top to bottom is some of the best I have ever seen. No wonder they got so many Emmy nominations. It won't be everyone's cup of tea. There are a lot of dislikable and vapid rich people who never get their comeuppance and the likable less privileged are the ones who suffer the consequences. But that's the point.

I liked the premise of this movie but not the execution. It fails because the main character, Cassie, is little more than an instrument of vengeance and her targets merely props. As such it's more comic book then something with real emotional depth. Too bad. This could have been so much better.

The secondary characters are almost universally fantastic particularly Gottfried. Unfortunately, there's just too much of the two central characters, Irma and Rene, and by the 5th or 6th episode I'd had enough of Rene's pearl clutching and Irma's slinking around in a cat suit. Overall, it was well done but never far from veering into pretention and self-absorption.

Yeah, the idea that a 100 lb girl with primitive weapons could beat a Predator is absurd and the movie has more than its share of unbelievable moments but who watches this stuff for realism? Stars Wars and Marvel are no less ridiculous in that regard. As escapist fiction it was well done and unique. Not great but certainly watchable.

I would like to give this a higher rating because it is an important topic and, for the most part, well done. My issue with it is the acting. There are 3 or 4 characters with fairly major parts who are shockingly amateurish. I found it hard to immerse myself in the story because of it. With better casting this would have been excellent.

It's an exercise in great acting and writing but that's all it seems to be: an exercise. It strives so hard to be artful and intellectual that it's hard to immerse yourself in the story because it's so pedantic. It feels like something Woody Allen would write if he had no sense of humor and took himself too seriously.

There are legitimate reasons to criticize any religion but making a psychotic family emblematic of the entire Church is neither accurate or fair. That said, that's not why I'm giving this one star. It just isn't well written or very interesting.

If you want the audience to identify with a show's characters they've got to be something more than shallow and obnoxious. If not, the rest of the show doesn't matter. Hard pass.

Horrifically bad acting and writing. Plot holes you could drive a truck through. Nonsense masquerading as something more profound. I'm not sure how he keeps getting money to make movies.
