Visually stunning but a very predictable paint by numbers story line. The movie borrows shamelessly from other sci fi thrillers. Star wars, planet of the apes, star trek, jurassic Park, and many more. It's very trite.

Visually stunning, but the movie is 2.5 hours long and the plot is about as complex as a Dick and Jane book. William H Macy's character is wasted. May's character is very under developed. The structure of the apes culture is all but non existent. The plot has no depth and is full of holes. Don't waste your time.
