As a Navy veteran (like me), admittedly I think I liked it more than most. The first three episodes are hard to digest with some amazing action sequences and drama, but it also asks the question of whether or not Reece is just suffering from severe PTSD.
Overall, I would recommend this despite it's long running time. It was worth it.
That being said (SPOILERS)--- I have 2 problems with this series. In one of the last episodes, Reece digs a foot deep hole and buries some explosives, this creating a land slide allowing him to escape. Up until this point, the action was believable. This scene was ridiculous. The other thing that really bothered me was him killing his friend the CIA agent who basically helped him out throughout the whole movie and I didn't feel like his part in the whole thing was worth Reese killing him. Those two things brought this from five to three stars for me
