The special effects were great. I especially liked the infrastructures and bending. The benders did not look like they were having an aneurysm moving one rock. They also showed how Azula is being pushed to the brink by her father. Which was a nice addition to her character arc. But it did made her look soft. Azula was originally cold, calculating and insane. Hopefully they don't take that away from her in season 2. The reason why I rated this so low is because of the script/dialogues. I find myself cringing every episode and the stiff acting did not help especially the extras. Just when I am starting to get immersed in the story some extra is going to shatter it. The main actors did good especially Zuko, Azula and Sokka. Their delivery was smooth and did the best they could with the script they were given. But Aang was very stiff and monotonous in a lot of scenes and would over act in some. But it got better in the last few episodes.

It's not that great but it wasn't too bad either. I enjoyed it but I feel that it was missing something. There were a lot of inconsistencies in the story and there are some situations in the show where they only scratch the surface then move on to another situation which left me feeling a bit unsatisfied. The character development isn't that great. And I got confused with their relationship at the beginning. At first the girls did not have a great relationship and got a bit hostile to each other then the next thing I know they're already close 'friends' that they tell each other their secrets. (Except for Bloom and Aisha. Their relationship was the most natural). I did not even see them bond that much in the beginning. Especially with Stella. At one episode she hates Bloom then in another episode Stella tells them her one sob story then becomes the one that gives a motivating speech about helping their 'friend' Bloom. At that time Stella and Bloom barely had any decent conversation. Musa was the only person Stella talked to properly. I would have liked it if they developed their friendship a bit better because I have a hard time believing they become instantly close with Stella. For me it was good enough to watch to pass time but the story development is a mess so I'm having a hard time investing myself into it. I hope that season two will be better.
