Is “zero stars” an option? Poorly thought through. Battle scenes are silly and unbelievable. More spinning than Jackie Chan and castle walls fell easier than the Alamo. DEI casting throughout was obviously a bigger priority than a well-told story. The credits’ music was disgusting and does not fit Tolkien. The script deserves the same fate as Gollum and his Precious in the fires of Mount Doom. And the little people make no sense in the story and their story is full of DEI TOO. Why not tell the writers to read Tolkien and watch Peter Jackson and don’t fix what ain’t broke. It’s the height of literary pride to think you can improve on Tolkien with a bunch of agenda-laden GenZ writers!
