What can I say. Never done a review before, however, I was so imprssed with this adaptation as a big fan of FO, I came to write about it. I am 50, so I have gone through all the games as they came out. That being said, it is obvious the show writers, sound designers, and everyone else collaborated with the game designers or at least knowledgeable people while at the same time keeping a good TV show format. This show is not perfect, and there were a couple of lazy plot armor devices used. However, that is the case with the best of everything. Take Attack on Titan, which is an amazing story but has its fair share of issues. That being said, I am not being hyperbolic when I say this show has the capacity to be just as good as AoT. The characters really shine. We see Cooper Howard who becomes the ghoul go from good ole American boy with a strong moral compass, to a ruthless bounty hunter. By the end of the season, we get a hint why. Then Lucy plays optimistic protagonist who is confident in herself contrasted with Maximus who is someone that tries to present himself as strong, but his insecurities shine through. We see a reverse arc in both these characters with Lucy starting to question things, and Maximus slowly gaining more confidence in himself. I don't want to spoil it, but I don't think we are going to get what is hinted between these two. I could see this show even being turned into a game using Lucy's exploits. This show isn't for everyone. If you don't like the fantastical or gore for that matter, then better skip, however, I don't think anyone who has never played the games will feel out of place. It is such a great show, and kept succint with tight story telling including heart felt, horrific, and in line with FO, a lot of dark humor.
